Mount TBR

Hosted by: Bev @ My Reader’s Block

Yes. I know.  Another challenge?!

This challenge is to help us tackle our To Be Read (TBR) queues.  However, there are a few rules: no re-reads, the books must have been purchased (or received) before January 1, 2012.  So, I’ll take a look at my Kindle and figure out which ones were purchased before the New Year and at least a dozen books on my bookshelf were all before that time, so I’ll definitely have some reading to fulfill the requirements.

I’m going to start at level 2: Mt. Vancouver (25 books).  We are allowed to move up to bigger mountains, but we cannot move down.  So I’m starting at this number and if I end up getting more done along the way, I’ll adjust as I go.

I am going to start with my Kindle TBR queue because I know exactly when it was purchased. If it was purchased on the Kindle, I will put the date purchased.  All of the books waiting on my physical book shelf were either purchased by, lent, or given to me prior to the start of the new year (luckily, the ones I’m borrowing are from my mom, so it’s okay that I’ve kept them for so long!)

Quite a few of these satisfy some of the other challenges I’m doing, so that’s good.  As I was making this list I realized that I have a LOT of books to read.  However, I’m starting with this list and if I finish these 25 then I’ll add more on from my TBR bookcase (prior to Jan 1, 2012).
